Open Letter to the United Nations

Dear members of the United Nations,

Full of sadness i read every day the news of your attitude against Israel. I am not Jewish, nor Christian. I am a Dutch citizen and grew up in Israel.

My father worked for you, the United Nations, at the peace keeping forces in Syria and in Israel (UNTSO). Those days we traveled through the whole Middle east. We experienced the culture, the nations and the attitude of the people.

Those days the difference was big already: Israel was a democracy, with free elections , with equal rights for man, woman, gays. Freedom of religion. No racism.. Arabs, Jews and christian people lived in peace together. There was Joy and happiness.

The people worked hard and turned for example the Negev desert into the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen.

The situation in Syria was different. We came there.. It was election day.. A “real” democracy with 1 candidate to choose…. Hafez Al-Assad. Our landlady told us, the kids needed to go to the grande parade, if not, the parents would be punished.. It was not allowed to walk near government buildings and all people lived in fear.

What a difference… those days and now. I wonder if my landlady and my Syrian friends ( girls) are still alive? Do you care United Nations? No you don’t. You keep punishing Israel for being successful in most everything, you keep punishing Israel for protecting their country and you keep stimulating violence of Arabs and Islam by considering everything what Israel does as a crime as bad or even evil. You close your eyes for IS, Hamas, Boko Haram and any other terrorist Organization and you are denying the legitimate right of Israel to exist and live in Peace in their own country.

I am deeply ashamed my father worked for this ignorant organization. Please when do you wake up and you will see what is happening in the world? Would love to talk too all your members. Just someone that saw and lived on both sides.

Please start to wake up now and let’s make the United Nonsenses the United Nations again.

Best Regards,

Sabine Sterk (Dutch Citizin)

About The other side Is Real

My name is Sabine Sterk and since I was very young I was a fanatic Israeli supporter. My father worked for the UNTSO and was sent to the Middle East when I was 12 years old. I lived in Syria and Israel and saw from a young age the difference between the cultures… When I returned to the Netherlands I noticed that the Anti Israel sentiment was increasing and I started to fight this. I admire Israel for all the good things that are achieved in the country. I am not religious and my motto is: Israel has the right to exist and Israel has the right to defend herself. As long as I live I will stand up for Israel and speak out on behalf of her. My ultimate dream is to find work in Israel or for Israel… I still hope to Fulfill that dream anytime soon… There is nothing I want more. I am passionate, a true Zionist supporter, enthusiastic, impulsive, impatient, honest but always try to live the best I can.
